It's almost the weekend! My kids were so cute at school this morning. They had a special awards ceremony and an assembly and they were all dressed up. I'm gonna miss not going to see them as much when I get back from Thanksgiving and actually have to go to class again.

I am so excited about this weekend! You have no idea. It's Becky's birthday... but not just any birthday, her 21st birthday. It is gonna get rowdy. Everybody's coming up and we're all goin out. It's gonna be so much fun. This also means that my birthday is only 2 weeks away.. YAY

Matt is coming tomorrow too! I can't wait to see him. I wish it was tomorrow already!

Everybody have a fun and safe weekend...

    very true...

You Know You're From North Carolina When...

You've gotten used to the smell of cow manure on a car trip to Raleigh.

Saying "y'all" isn't just a cute expression; it actually means something.

There are big labrador retrievers in the back of every truck.

You give directions using KFC and Waffle House as landmarks.

You still see Dale Earndheart tributes on cars.

You can't imagine life without Bojangles' sweet tea

Your annual church fundraiser always deals with bbq and potato salad

You have a sunburn from May to October

Your 'heavy winter clothing' consists of some turtleneck sweaters, a fuzzy jacket, and your daddy's boots

Your family has fried chicken once a week

You can tell the difference between cotton fields and tobacco fields while driving

One of your neighbors has a confederate flag hanging on their front porch

Those "damn yankees" are taking over your school/church/workplace/neighborhood...

You've been "properly raised", and yankees love it when they hear you say "ma'am" and "sir"

You get your carbs from biscuits, rolls, pancakes, and grits

You know the difference between a "redneck" and a "hick".

You own at least one surf shop or seafood restaurant shirts.

No matter what those people in ohio say, we are still "first in flight"

The Coca-Cola 600 is as big as the Super Bowl

    You prefer Chick-fil-a to KFC

You know pastry is a chicken stew, not a dessert item.

Every time you visit someone you’re offered something to eat and a glass of tea.

Your granddaddy always wore overalls and your grandma always wore an apron.

In summer you have home-grown tomatoes with every meal.

When it rains and the creek rises, everyone gathers to see how high it rose.

You know that "chunk" the ball means to throw it.

You've had a burger "all the way" - chili and slaw on it.

You can recognize a copperhead and your heart drops when you see one.

You have at least one relative that raises collards.

Your folks have taken trips to the mountains to look at leaves.

Your school classes were cancelled because of a hurricane.

You know Krispy Kreme makes the best doughnut.

You have an opinion about UNC. You went there and loved it, or you hate everyone who did.

You know the best BBQ is found in Lexington

You would rather eat at Bojangles's than McDonald's

You have actually uttered the phrase "It's too hot to go to the pool"

You faithfully drink Pepsi or Mt. Dew everyday of your life.

You have your own secret bbq sauce.

You or your neighbors have more hunting dogs than you have family members.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from North Carolina.

    i'm 2 for 2
I found out tonight that one of my friends is going to be proposing to his girlfriend very soon... And he showed me the gorgeous ring. I'm so excited for him... and honestly, I'm slightly jealous. I am a hopeless romantic, I can't help it. I've been planning my wedding for years now.

Has anyone ever seen the show Cheaters? It comes on the WB and it has got to be the stupidest show I have ever seen... but of course I watch it anyway. So tonight, this woman suspected her husband of cheating so she called the people and had them spy on him and then when she went to confront him with cheating... she walked into a hotel room where he was handcuffed to a bed wearing only black underwear, with a black mask on and being spanked by a woman with real messed up teeth. I'm pretty sure if I was that woman I would leave him right then and there. But he gets down on his hands and knees and is begging for forgiveness, still with the mask and handcuffs on, while the mistress is running around trying to get the cameras out by swinging at everybody with her whip. Crazy.

I can't wait for Thanksgiving. It won't come soon enough. I wanna go home and relax and not worry about paying bills or getting work done. And I can see Woody, and see for myself that she's okay! And I can meet Matts family and have lots of good food. I wish I was going home today instead of next Tuesday...

And... I would just like to say that I have a great boyfriend. I love you Matt!

Maybe I'll start this thing back up... we'll see.

A lot has been happening lately. Last week wasn't the best... but I'm very thankful that it wasn't any worse than it was. My truck broke, but it's fixed now. It needed a new rear abs speed sensor, and it needed $209 of my money... And even though I haven't seen her yet, I am absolutely positive that Leigh is the most beautiful girl and the neck brace only enhances her beauty!

My parents have recently got a horse for my sister. His name is Charlie and he is a very handsome horse... Apparently he broke the fence yesterday though, by trying to crawl under it. You would think he would jump over, seeing as how it isn't very tall... but no, he crawled under.

I've been going to an elementary school near here to observe and work for some of my classes for the past couple weeks. I'm working in a special ed class. The kids are so cute and sweet... except for one little boy who likes to bite, you have to watch out for him.

I hope everyone has a great night and maybe this allowed you to procrastinate on whatever it is you were doing for a little while. Hopefully I'll remember to keep it up.

    wow...
So, I guess it's been a while. And a lot has happened since the last time. I moved back to Greenville, started classes, caught up with a lot of people I missed so much over the summer.

The apartment is awesome. We've got it fixed up so pretty. My room is great too. It's small... but it looks good. I have a very nice (expensive) desk and a chest that came from nanny and papa. My bed is one Emily slept in when she was little, but it fits perfectly in here. I have fabulous curtains thanks to Emily and Wendy. And I had a lot of help moving in too...so it didn't take long at all. Mama, Daddy, Emily, Wendy, Matt, Tina, Robbie and Susie... THANKS! The whole apartment is very cozy and homey. It's apt. 62 at Pirates Place... so everyone should come visit!

I was so excited when I got here to see Susie, Tina, Lizz, Myriam, Emily, Becky and everybody else that I didnt get to see over the summer. We've already had some good times and it's only been a week.

I'm still trying to get all my classes and schedule worked out. It's beginning to frustrate me, but it's coming together slowly.

I hope classes are going good for everyone so far. Not too hard yet I hope. Good luck with them!

Have a great night and a great Friday!

I love Fridays. Even if today is a yucky day... it's still a good day because it's Friday. This is my real last day of work. And even better... my last day of work here EVER. I never have to sell toilet paper or cleaning supplies ever again. YAY! But with my luck the job I get in Greenville will be something even worse... that's just my kinda luck. I've done a lot of shopping this week, mainly just getting stuff for the apartment. We move in, in three days!

This week has been full of appointments. Trying to get everything done before I go back to school. Tuesday I took Alex to the vet to get a shot. Wednesday I went to the dentist. I hate going to the dentist... sitting there with some strangers hands in your mouth while they keep talking to you and asking you questions, knowing that you can't exactly talk back. Thursday I had a hair appointment. And I wanted something different, so I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted and she started cutting and chopping at my hair and before I know it, she handed me a mirror and it was totally not what I wanted. It's really short for me. I didn't like it at all last night, but it's growing on me a little I guess. But just so you know... if you see me sometime in the next month, my hair will most likely be pulled back and that is not because I haven't showered it's because I don't like it. This morning I had to drop my truck off to get it fixed before I go back. I had to get the oil changed and my windshield wipers fixed, because sometimes they just don't work and with all the rain we've been having lately, I need my wipers.

What's with all these hurricanes. They need to go back where they came from and put the sun back out. I know a lot of people moving in today... it sucks for them, I hope they stay dry.

I'm going out to eat with Matt and his parents tonight. This will be the first time I've met them. Should be interesting...

Something that pisses me off is people that aren't happy because they decide that they can't be. And because they aren't happy, they hate everybody who is. These people are stupid and they just need to grow up. They could be happy if they wanted to be and if they decided to get over themselves and have fun once in a while.

Hope everybody has a great day!

It's been a while... I know, but that's okay. I really haven't done too much since the last time I wrote in here. Well, maybe I have. Last week I spent a lot of time with Leigh because she was leaving me. We hung out Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday she came over and we just watched movies and made cheerwine floats with cherry ice cream. They were very good. Wednesday we went to lunch at Applebees and shared a delicious dessert and Thursday she dyed my hair (but you can't really tell... she was distracted at the time.) We did manage to get in some quality cuddling time before she left though. And now she's back at App and I'm here all alone. I miss my Woody.

Friday I left to go to the beach with Mama, Nanny, and Lisa. We've been doing this ever since I was little, a girls weekend at the beach. Emily usually goes, but this year she had already planned to go white water rafting with the youth. The beach was fun though. It was very relaxing. Me and mama walked out on the beach a lot and laid out some. I got burnt a little, but not too bad. We did a lot of shopping too. I got a pair of jeans, a skirt, 3 shirts and a pair of sandles... and I bet I didn't spend more than $40.00. Everything was on sale, and it was tax free which made it even better.

We only have one week left before moving into the apartment. In one week I get to see Susie and Tina and Lizz and everybody else that I miss sooo much! And in one week we get to start fixing up our apartment and decorating it and all that stuff. I can't wait!

I'm sooo not ready for school to start though. Classes start the 25th and I'm not looking forward to that. I just don't think I was cut out for this whole school business. I just wanna get married to a rich man and have a house and a big truck and have no more school....

Saturday will be 6 months with me and Matt... how crazy is that. He better have a big surprise planned and it better be something really good! ;)

I hope ya'll all have a great day and week and until next time... see ya later!

I guess it's been a few days since I've updated... I'm slackin, I know. This weekend I did a lot of shopping. I bought my comforter and shower curtain and bathroom stuff and pots and pans and other stuff... My comforter is blue and green and purple and it has different squares all over it, it's neat. My shower curtain is like a white sheer material and it has little butterflies all over it. No dolphins, it's sad, I'm growing up... (and they jut didn't have any dolphin ones...) I know I say this all the time, but I am soooo excited about moving in and getting everything set up and decorating and making it all pretty. I can't wait! It's less than two weeks away. wow. Ohh... I got our chairs for the kitchen table too and they were free. I forgot about them. But, I have to redo the seat covers and paint them and then they're gonna be all pretty.

Today is my last real day of work. YAY! I'm coming in next week and gonna work Monday and Friday and he's just gonna pay me cash... but after that I never have to sell toilet paper ever again! That is the best news I've had in a while.

Other good news... I got my tuition bill and I actually have a $1200 credit, so I don't have to pay anything this year at all. That was a huge sigh of relief.

What else is going on... OHHH... I'm living my own Mary Higgins Clark book now. A lady that lives near me (i didn't know her) was killed a couple days ago and they just found her body in the trunk of a car yesterday. And there have been undercover cops sitting out in the parking lot of my store looking for someone they think is involved. But they think her husband killed her.. and the thing is, he's a preacher. It's all a big mystery. But it has been interesting, there have been cops everywhere, I have been talking to the undercover cops and cooperating with them, it's been on the news... this is a big deal for Aberdeen.

Well, I think I will get back to work and actually work on my last official day here... :)

    Ya'll have a great day!

    I'm hungry...
and I am having the strangest craving for spaghettio's. And not just any spaghettio's.... but the chef boyardee kind. yumm!

Yesterday was a long day. Didn't really do anything besides work... and this creepy man came in and was scary... but he did tell me that i had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen and that he wanted some just like them... nice compliment, but very weird guy. So after that I called Travis and made him come sit with me till I closed up. It was good to get to hang out with him some. That was the first time we had actually been able to talk face to face in a long time. I gave him some advice, he gave me some advice... we talked about all our memories... it was good.

I wish I could go up to Raleigh tonight to see Matt and Susie and Justin and Meredith and Candi... and because there is gonna be a party at Matts apartment for Mike and Sarah's birthday. (and I havent met Sarah yet.. but I'm sure she's awesome) So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to them!

My night is going to much more uneventful (if that makes any sense) than theirs is... I am going to spend the night with Nanny and Lisa because Papa has to go to the hospital. But we will have fun. My grandma is one crazy lady, something interesting always happens.

This whole weekend is going to be about getting stuff for my apartment. Tonight I'm just gonna go some places around here and look at stuff. I have to get all the stuff for my bathroom and bedroom still. I have a bed and a dresser, but I need a desk and comforter and all the rest of the stuff... and then we have to get decorations and all that for the living room. Tomorrow morning I'm going to yard sales to look for a desk and lamps and a coffee table and then Nanny is taking me to Belks because they are having a big sale and shes gonna buy me all my pots and pans and stuff. Then we're going to Hamlet to some outlet store that sells bedding stuff, so hopefully I can get a cool comforter for cheap. Tomorrow afternoon I have to go pick up chairs and dishes and some other stuff that a lady I work with is just gonna give me. I do love free stuff. I'm very excited about all this stuff. It is definitely a sign that you are getting old when you get excited about pots and pans...

I think that about sums everything up.... so I hope ya'll have a great weekend!!

So... I haven't bought anything for my apartment yet... Susie and Tina have been getting all kinds of stuff, and I got nothing. It will be done by Aug 16th though, I promise. Yesterday I went up to Cary shopping with Grandma, Cathy, Katie and Emily. It is tradition for Grandma and Cathy to take us shopping each year before school starts, they've been doing that as long as I can remember. I got a pair of jeans and some shirts. 3 shirts from Aeropostale and 2 more from JCPennys. Everything I got was on sale too. So that made it a lot better. I spent like $80.00 though... but its okau, because I never go shopping for me, so it is necessary to indulge every once in a while. Matt met us at the mall too and shopped with us. I don't think he really liked the shopping, but it was worth it to see me. ;)

I was looking through a magazine this morning and i saw an advertisement for the annual festival they have in some small town in Montana. The festival is called... The Testicular Bull Festival. And the advertisement read... "Testicualr Bull Festival... Come join us and have a ball" Maybe I just have a dirty mind, but I laughed for a really long time when I saw that.

I don't think I'm really doing anything today. I'm working all alone... so someone should come visit me. I can't wait to be done with this job. I think this might be my last week... but I'm really not sure. I should probably find that out soon.

I can't believe we only have a few weeks left before we go back to school. We move in our apartment exactly 20 days from today. And then school starts a week later. I'm so ready to move in and fix up the apartment. But I'm definitely not ready to go back to school. Oh well... not that much longer.

I think that is about enough for today. So ya'll be good. See ya later.

    entrancing
You have an entrancing kiss~ the kind that leaves
your partner bedazzled and maybe even feeling
he/she is dreaming. Quite effective; the kiss
that never lessens and always blows your
partner away like the first time.

There's not too much going on today. We've been pretty slow, but that doesn't bother me... cuz I can just sit here and play games on the computer and get paid for it. I don't make enough money for what I do though. I have to deal with dirty old men all the time. Only a few weeks left though.

Last night after we picked peas Amanda came down and we hung out for a while. We played ping pong and mainly just talked. There was a lot of catching up to do. We don't see each other nearly as much as we should... especially considering we live in like hollering distance from each other. But we had fun, it was a good night.

Daddy has been gone all week to some teaching conference in Greensboro and he comes back tomorrow. He goes back to school Monday or Tuesday I think. That's crazy.... there was barely a summer in there. I did hear that they just passed a bill or something saying that starting next year schools were going to start a lot later in August... maybe even after Labor Day and get out about the same time. They are just cutting all the teacher work days. I think that's good, that's what they should have been doing all along. They go back so early now its ridiculous.

It makes me feel so old now when I see people that were in like middle school when i graduated and now I see them driving around. And to think that Brandy's little brother is in drivers ed... and he was so young just a couple years ago. That's crazy... It makes me feel ooollllddddd. And I'll be 21 this year.... that makes me feel old too... but i'm okay with that. ;)

    I hope ya'll have a great day!

Do you ever stop and think about how your life is turning out and if it's what you always wanted it to be? Like when I was a little kid I always said that I was gonna go to college and become a pediatrician and be rich, and have a big ranch and a bed and breakfast in the mountains. And I was gonna be married by 25 and have 2 kids and we were gonna have horses. Well.... most of that has changed now. I guess you realize what is practical and real, but don't you ever just wish that you could go back and make all your childhood dreams come true. I mean... I'm in college, to be a teacher. Am I gonna be rich... NOOOO. Big ranch, probably not, esp since I'm probably gonna be in the city (grr). Bed and Breakfast in the mountains... maybe when I retire. Now, the part about being married by 25 could still happen, and 2 kids, that's a good possibility. But it's just so weird to think about how things change and where life takes you.

And to think that we are now old enough to think about what we're gonna be doing for the rest of our lives... starting our career, getting married, getting a house. I think about that stuff all the time. And most of my friends are now with the person they are gonna marry. That's crazy. We should definitely not be old enough to even think about that. Time flies by. It seems like only yesterday I was sitting on the tire swing at Kiddie Korner.

I've also realized though, that just because childhood dreams don't come true, doesn't mean that you've failed. It only means that you've grown up and realized whats really important. And what's really important is family, and friends, and love... and being happy with what you have become. So as long as you are happy with the way things have changed... then your dreams have come true, just not in the way you thought they would.

    Things I wish I knew...
    Before I came to college....

    - that it didn't matter how late I scheduled my first class I'd sleep right through it. (ain't that the truth)

    - that I would change so much and barely realize it.

    - that you can love a lot of people in a lot of different ways.

    - that college kids throw airplanes, too.

    - that if you wear polyester everyone will ask you why you're so dressed up. (sweat pants and pajamas are perfectly acceptable for morning classes)

    - that every clock on campus shows a different time.

    - that if you were smart in highschool - so what? (i've learned that the hard way...)

    - that I would go to a party the night before a final. (and still ace the final)

    - that chem labs require more time than all my other classes put together. (the sole reason I changed majors...)

    - that you can know everything and fail a test. (and fail miserably)

    - that you can know nothing and ace a test. (i dont have that luck)

    - that I could get used to almost anything I found out about my roomie. (and even get used to their music...)

    - that home is a great place to visit. (with great home cooked food)

    - that most of my education would be obtained outside my classes. (definitely)

    - that friendship is more than getting drunk together. (

    - that I would be one of those people my parents warned me about.

    - that free food served at 10:00 is gone by 9:50. (say free and everybody comes running)

    - that Sunday is a figment of the world's imagination.

    - that psychology is really biology, biology is really chemistry, chemistry is really physics, and physics is really math. (and i dont like any of those)

    - that it is a really good idea to go places alone. (because if you don't you never get anything done)

    - that it's possible to be alone even when you're surrounded by friends. (but with friends like mine, you won't be alone for long)

    - that friends are what makes this place worthwhile!

    - don't be dismayed at goodbyes.

    - a farewell is necessary before we can meet again, and meeting again, after moments or a lifetime, is certain for those who are friends.

I really don't like Mondays, but I guess it just means that the next weekend is on its way. This weekend was great! I got up to Matts about 7 Friday night and Tina was already there. We just hung out at his apartment for a while then went to see Anchorman with Brandon and Kristen. It was pretty funny... stupid funny, but not bad. After the movie Brandon, Tina, Matt and me went over to State and played frisbee on the top of the parking deck.... until Tina threw it off. Then we went roaming around empty buildings causing mischief. To end the night we had to steal something for Tina, b/c a night just wouldn't be complete for her without causing some kind of trouble. When we got back Joe had built a very impressive 3D Eiffel Tower. Saturday we met Emily for lunch. That was fun... cuz I missed her! We just hung out at his apt that afternoon and took a nap. Then went to Macaroni Grill for supper. It was sooo good. Later that night we went and played disc golf with Brandon, Joe and Jesse... and I sucked, but thats okay... it was my first time. And it was fun. I had to leave pretty early Sunday cuz Matt had to work, but it was a very good weekend. OH.. and I got flowers, a mini rose bush :) It's so pretty and I can take it to the apartment with me.

Last night my toenail fell off, it's so gross. It just kinda got caught on the rug somehow and ripped right off. There's a nice visual image for ya ;)

We got in this new stuff today... and it's called "Poopy Doo". They are little disposable bags used to clean up your animal's "crap" (for lack of a better word). But they are these little bright pink and yellow bags. It's like you're gonna wrap the stuff up and give it to somebody for a present. And they're called "Poopy Doo"... and people buy it for $4.00. That's ridiculous... who comes up with this stuff.

Anyway... I suppose i should get back to work and stock these "crap bags" so ya'll have a good day.

Tomorrow is Friday! Tomorrow I get to see TINA! I miss her so much! I cant wait! She's gonna meet me in Raleigh and stay at Matts with me. Today and tomorrow are gonna last forever, because I can't leave until I get done with work at 5... And when you're excited about something, it seems like it takes forever for it to get here. I dont know what we're gonna do yet. Probably watch a movie or two... maybe go shopping... apartment shopping! Tomorrow is exactly a month before we move in. I can't wait! It makes me feel all grown up. Having our own apartment, decorating it, paying rent.... We're gonna have so much fun this year, it's gonna be crazy. I've still got to get a lot of stuff for my room and bathroom.. and the tv for the living room. We've got a palmtree theme going on, it's gonna be neat! I still need to find a job in Greenville though... and I want to go up there one day to look for stuff, but a lot of places will be closed on weekends. So, if anybody knows of any job openings there... let me know!

Last night I went shopping with Leigh in Fayetteville. We were secret shopping... it was quite interesting. I definitely learned a lot. If you're really lucky you just might find out what I got... but only if you're really lucky. ;)

Yesterday was 5 months for me and Matt.... I think that's quite impressive. It doesn't seem like it's been that long at all and then in other ways it seems like I've known him forever. wow...

Good Morning, Carolina Manufacturers Distributors, This is Michelle... try saying that 3 times fast. Thats what I have to say everytime I answer the phone... it never comes out the way it is supposed to. I have the most mundane job ever and I know I complain about that a lot... but you should try selling toilet paper all day and see how much fun you have.

Yesterday my sister and parents went up to look at Wingate for their open house. I'm pretty sure thats where she wants to go to school. It's a great school and I think they were very impressed by it, so I hope it all works out. Emily just got a new car too. It's really nice. A 2004 Dodge Neon and it's red. It's very pretty and shiny. I rode in it for the first time yesterday. I love new cars. Personally... I would rather have a truck or a hummer... that would be fun.

This weekend everybody is going to the Kenny Chesney concert, but not me. :( I wish I was going.... but the concert sold out so quick this time. Oh well... they'll just have to give him a kiss for me. ;)

I went swimming yesterday with Emily and Lisa. That was like the first time I've actually gone swimming in years. I'm surprised I remembered how, but I guess it's just like a bike; once you learn you never forget. I'm hanging out with Leigh tonight... I don't know what we're doing, but I know that I need quality Woody time!

Congratulations to Mike for getting his new job!!!

And HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY LEANNE!!!!! Celebrate hard for all of us that have yet to reach that point... I'll be there soon though!

I hope ya'll have a great day!!! and leave me lots of comments to entertain me :)

This was a really great weekend. Friday when we got down to Wilmington we went to the battleship. That was really interesting. I don't see how the men used to stay on there that long though. They would sleep with like 12 people in a room the size of or smaller than my dorm room. And I thought it got crowded with 2... Friday afternoon and night it was storming so we hung out around the hotel some then went to the mall and went downtown Wilmington where we saw a stupid juggling unicycler that was really rude to some of the kids and there was this guy that did paintings on the street and he was amazing. Then Saturday we all got up and went to the aquarium and that was really cool... but they should have dolphins! Later that day we went out to the beach and Daddy, Emily and Matt went swimming while me and mama watched. Sunday we went shopping some and went and walked downtown some more... then headed home. Then Matt left and went back to Raleigh :( And last night I was so tired I didn't do much, we did watch Cold Mountain though. Excellent movie. Everyone should see it. Today I'm working all alone... I want to just strip down and run around the store naked... that would be fun. And I could make a big pile with the toilet paper and paper towels and jump on it and go to sleep.... maybe one day.

My phone was being stupid last week so it had to be sent off to get fixed and I have a loaner one now... but I lost all my numbers. So if I had your number or if you want me to have it... call me or send me a message or something, cuz I lost them all.

Hope you all have a great day!!
